Things I use regularly
I found a new use for AI: generating writing prompts so I can blog weekly. Here is this week's edition.
Here are 10 randomly chosen stuff that I use regularly:
COROS Pace 3 Watch: A no-nonsense activity tracker. Cheaper, better battery life, with a nicer, more reliable software than an equivalent Garmin.
Plum Facewash: Makes me feel fresh.
My coffee setup: I currently use Panduranga Mysore Nuggets Coffee. I buy from their online store as they are located in Chikmagalur and source it locally from coffee estates nearby (>70% of Indian coffee is grown in this region). I also enjoy Blue Tokai's Attikan Estate coffee. I brew it using a basic all-steel French press (I cannot be trusted with glass french presses). I have decided that this setup gives me the best taste for the amount of effort I put in, so this is how I make my daily coffee.
Audio Technica ATH-M50X Headphones: I have had them for over a decade, and I only use them at my home desk. Great sound quality, feels comfortable. I am #TeamAirPodsPro when outside.
ECOVACS DEEBOT Omni Mini Robot Vaccuum: Gets into narrow spaces and cleans the house reasonably well.
My Breakfast Smoothie: Whole Truth Light Cocoa Whey Protein, hydrated chia, banana, some oat milk (or water). Optionally, any sort of berries. Blend. Tastes so good. Or, put oats in them and keep them in the fridge overnight. Also great.
Tusk Gentle One Sonic Electric Toothbrush: This is from a company I work with, and I love it. My older Oral-B electric toothbrush feels heavy and clunky compared to the sleek design and operation of this toothbrush. Their toothpaste is great too.
Levi's 511 jeans: Comfortable, durable, goes with everything.
My fridge's freezer: Over the last couple of years, my usage of the freezer has gone up a lot. I freeze everything. Fruits, veggies, bread, desserts, ice, you name it. Most recent habit: bulk prepare Dal and freeze. I realized I might need to increase my fiber intake, so I can just warm it up for any meal for a little fiber boost.
LookAway and BitWarden: Cheating a bit by adding two different apps in my last point. LookAway makes me look away from my screen and take a break every once in a while. It is quite well designed too. BitWarden is a not-so-well-designed, open-source password manager. I use it to store passwords, credit cards, random ID numbers I might need often, etc. Except a few key ones, I don't remember any of my passwords anymore. I highly, highly recommend everyone to get a password manager and BitWarden is a decent option.
I am noticing that a lot of items I appreciate do their work silently and consistently with little to no effort on my side. Easy to add these items to your daily rituals.
What are the items in your life that you feel this way about?
