The Good Week 28
I have been travelling, so skipping 27, jumping directly to Week 28. Not just travelling distance, but time as well.
Here are cool things I came across this week:
The Sihl river flows inside of Zurich's main train station between the platforms and levels like a river sandwich.
A friend's kid who speaks some weird mixture of English, German, and Icelandic saw my facial hair, pointed out my moustache and said "was ist das?". He also thought I was handsome. Made my week.
I bought a xteink X4 pocket sized e-reader, and having a lot of fun with it. Started reading Sanderson's Stormlight Archive, which had been in my to-read pile for a long time.
A great read on why our resistance to AI must oppose technocracy, and not the technology itself - as we can learn from Dune.
Played a co-op boardgame called Bombbusters at a friend's place, which was a lot of fun. Decided to get one for myself. Looking forward to playing all the missions.
Also, I had completed the Fast-track immigration registration last year. So this time when I travelled, I did not have to stand in any immigration/emigration queue at the Bangalore airport, which was really convenient. The automatic systems there are quite finicky though, but there is always some tech-support who makes sure you go through.
Leaving you with a few sights and art I saw in the second leg of my trip.
