Moving on from being a Hater

Last week, I realized that I have turned into a Hater.

I am reading snarky blogs on politics. My podcast list is full of tech opinions. I am watching 20-minute takedown videos on YouTube.

I am constantly getting annoyed by the traffic and crumbling infrastructure around me in my city. I am usually on top of the news, and that has been, well, let's say, not ideal for stoking a sense of positivity.

Being in a work transition phase has not helped. Idle mind, devil's workshop, etc.

This is causing me to look at everything in a negative light, and this bothers me. I have always been an optimist. Despite all the things happening in the world, I do believe things, on average, move forward for the better.

So this is a note to self. Stay informed, but stop obsessing over things I cannot control. Spend more time on things I actually enjoy and make me happy.
