Book Notes: Six of Crows, Odyssey, Yellowface
Odyssey, by Stephen Fry: The narration of the audiobook is great. Fry has made the retelling fun, and since I had not read the whole version before, I enjoyed the whole thing. I was a mix of familiar stories (Circe, Sirens), and some surprises - I didn't expect the structure of the original story to be non-linear.
Yellowface, by RF Kuang: picked it up randomly one day and couldn't put it down. Pacing is great, and the story keeps you hooked. But its like #Resistance twitter and tumblr wrote a novel. Did not enjoy it.
Six of Crows, by Leigh Bardugo: A band of outlaws perform a heist together. Chaos ensues. Great setting (old Amsterdam inspired), interesting magic, the characters and their interactions are fun. Looking forward to reading part 2.
